CE Seminar: Golf Law, Insurance and Risk Management

HAIP will be offering a 2 (CE) "Subject" credit seminar conducted by Katharine M. Nohr, Author of the bood titled: Managing Risk in Sports & Recreation: The Essential Guide for Loss Prevention, (Human Kinetics, 2009). This course teaches attendees about 5 necessary types of golf course insurance and the many hazards associated with golf; including potentially slippery grass surfaces, water hazards, sand traps, use of golf carts, flying balls, swinging clubs, lightning, and consumption of alcohol. Lawsuits are more likely to be filled in this sport played by persons of higher economic means than other sports and there is often insurance coverage that comes into play.
