Community Relations

HAIP members enjoy giving back to our community by volunteering for charities, such as the March of Dimes, and by donating monies and goods to charities throughout each year.  

CPCU Recognized HAIP: Organization of the Year

CPCU recognized HAIP as Organization of the Year!  HAIP was recognized for our contiued membership participation over the last four years in a joint industry booth at the City & County of Honolulu's various Emergency Preparedness Fairs.

Be Ready Manoa Disaster Preparedness Fair

HAIP member volunteered at Be Ready Manoa, a not for profit organization whose primary purpose is to educate and prepare residents for disasters.  Be Ready Manoa hosted the disaster preparedness fair that was open to the public. Residents were encouraged to swing by to learn how to prepare for various types of disaster scenarios, which included for wildfires. Our HAIP members promoted and provided education on proper insurance preparedness for disasters.

2018 'Eddie Would Go' Essay Contest Judging Session

Each year HAIP members are invited to volunteer as judges by the Board of Directors of the Eddie Aikau Foundation and the Aikau Family for the annual "Eddie Would Go" Essay Writing Contest. Students from public and private schools from grades 7 thru 10 participate in writing essays.  Essays submitted are in both English and Hawaiian.  Over 300 essays were submitted this year.  Here was this year's topic:

Ewa Beach Disaster Preparedness Fair

HAIP Members Josh German and Tammy Toma volunteered at the Ewa Beach Disaster Preparedness Fair. They educated folks on how to make sure they had the proper insurance coverages in the event of a natural disaster here in Hawaii.

March of Dimes Governor's Ball 2017

HAIP is a huge supporter of the March of Dimes.  Each year members of HAIP volunteer at various events put on by the March of Dimes, one of which includes the Governor's Ball.  This event is a huge fund raiser for the March of Dimes and HAIP is so happy and honored to be able to support them!

Next Step Shelter

Next Step Shelter provides many services to those in need.  Some of their services include providing emergency shelter for couples and individuals.  Also housing placement assistance, job training, referrals for medical care, behavioral health, tobacco cessation treatment, and more.  HAIP members were honored and happy to collect and donate food and sundry items for this incredible organization.  Thank you to Charlene Mizumoto for coordinating this opportunity of Community Service.
